Robert Skinner (Social Secretary)
Robert Skinner is the Managing Director of a health and safety consultancy business based in Derby, primarily dealing with the construction industry sector and its allied trades. He has worked in various locations around the country since leaving school, most of which have a connection with the construction industry. Robert joined the Nottingham Branch Committee of the Lighthouse Club in 1994 and has provided help at the majority of functions to date, and continues to contribute to the efficient running of the club.
The phrase; “Consideration for Others”, is viewed by Robert as a great starting point in the battle to reduce accidents and injury. He is actively involved with various safety committees, including the Federation of Small Businesses Health and Safety Policy Committee, the Heating and Ventilating Contractors Association Midlands Safety Group, the Midlands Construction Safety Association and the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety, in order to develop practical solutions.
